Chatchapon Jiamjanyong

Chatchapon Jiamjanyong currently teaches flute at Prasarnsilp and Jurairat Music School in Bangkok and ear-training class at the Conservatory of Music, Rangsit University.

He began his music education at the age of 8 at Technic Music School. He took his first flute lesson at 13 years old at the Prasarnsilp Music School with Nicom Suwan. In 1998, he received the highest score award from the examination of Trinity College, London.

In 2001, he entered the College of Music Mahidol University and studied with Surat Prapatrangsri, Katja Langfeld, Siriporn Jiranarong and Hiroshi Matsushima. Among numerous music activities he has participated during his study, he won the first prize at YAMAHA Thailand Flute Competition in 2004. He was also selected to the Southeast Asian Youth Orchestra and Wind Ensemble (SAYOWE) in 2004 and 2005, and Silpakorn Summer Music Camp in 2005.

Chatchapon was the principal flute of Mahidol Wind Symphony and Mahidol Wind Camerata, and a member of the Salaya Modern Ensemble. Chatchapon graduated from Mahidol University in 2007 with a Bachelor Degree in Music Performance.
